Mumbai: Global technology giant Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt Ltd has reported remarkable growth, with net profit increasing by 30.2 percent year-on-year for the fiscal year ending on March 30. This surge in profitability can be attributed to the increased adoption of Microsoft's software and services by Indian enterprises during the pandemic years.

The company's net profit for the specified period reached Rs 648.67 crores. According to information gleaned from Tofler, Microsoft's consolidated revenue for the fiscal year 2023 amounted to Rs 19,353.79 crore, representing an impressive 39% year-on-year growth. This marked a significant increase from the Rs 13,922 crore recorded in the previous fiscal year, FY22.

Microsoft, which established its presence in India in 1988, offers a diverse range of products and services. Their product portfolio encompasses operating systems, cross-device productivity applications, server applications, business solution applications, desktop and server management tools, as well as software development tools and video games. Revenue generated from the sale of products reached Rs 4,508.33 crores.

Furthermore, Microsoft's services division performed notably well, contributing to their overall revenue. With services raking in Rs 13,103 crore, these services encompass cloud-based solutions that provide customers with a comprehensive array of software, services, platforms, and content. Notable offerings include Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Xbox Live. Additionally, service and other revenue include solution support and consulting services, reflecting the company's commitment to offering a wide array of solutions and support to its customers.
