This show was shown on TV in the eighties. It was broadcast time every Sunday morning. The series became so popular that its episodes took the form of outdoor strikes during the airing period. Later, the production company Sagar Enterprises sold the rights to various foreign TV channels as well. Recently, a movie has been made on that Ramayana. The film starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan has been criticized in various quarters. The movie was made at a cost of 500 crores. It is one of the most expensive Indian films.
