New Delhi: Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has warned against fraudulent advertisements on social media platforms misusing the company's brand and logo. On Wednesday, the life insurance company said that not only the company's brand name and logo were being misused, but also the pictures of the company's executives were being used in the advertisements.

LIC issued a warning about these fraudulent advertisements. On their 'X' handle today, LIC asked their customers and the public to be cautious. According to the news agency, LIC is warning on this day to report its links on social media to the company's official social media accounts if any such advertisement is noticed.

In 'X' post, LIC said, "Please take action by verifying the authenticity of any such advertisement. It has come to our notice that some individuals and organizations are misusing pictures of our senior and ex-officers, our brand logo and brand name on various social media without our consent on fraudulent advertising on the platform."
