Chief Financial Officer of the company Ritesh Tiwari said that Horlicks will be in the 'FND' category from now on. According to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, FND meets nutritional needs according to one's lifestyle. However, drinks like Horlicks, Bournevita are said to be high in sugar. Which is harmful for children and elderly patients.
Recently the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has banned all e-commerce websites from including dairy products, cereals and beverages in the category of healthy drinks. They claim that customers are being misled with wrong information.
