New Delhi: The central government is expected to receive huge dividends from listed public sector enterprises (PSUs). According to the proposed final dividend declared by the PSUs, the Center will receive around Rs. 63,056 crore from the 67 PSUs in FY 2023. According to an all-India media report, this is an all-time record. In the financial year 2022, the Center received a dividend of Rs 50,583 crore from these companies. This time the center will get about 25 percent more dividend than that.
Dividends are expected to increase this year. Because GAIL, Hindustan Copper Limited and Bama Lorry are yet to declare their dividend. However, in 2019, the pre-corona epidemic year, the Center received a dividend of Rs 29,049 crore from the listed PSUs. This time he is getting double dividends. Earlier, in 2014, the Center received a maximum dividend of Rs 42,150 crore from these state-owned enterprises.
The center will get Rs. 18,000 crores of dividends from the state-owned banks and financial institutions. Which is almost double of Rs. 11,525 crore in 2022 financial year. Besides, the Center will get Rs. 45,000 crore as dividend from companies like ONGC, Coal India, NTPC and Power Grid Corporation. Which is 15.4 percent more than Rs. 39,059 crore received in the previous year.
