For the month of December, compiled a list of the days on which banks will remain closed in several cities across the nation.
Banks will remain closed for up to 14 days in December 2022, according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Holiday List, but online banking will continue unabated.
The Reserve Bank of India divides its holidays into three categories: holidays covered by the Negotiable Instruments Act; Vacation in accordance with the Negotiable Instruments Act and the Real Time Gross Settlement Vacation;and the closing of accounts by banks. However, it should be noted that not all banks observe bank holidays, and that bank holidays vary by state. Banking holidays also depend on when certain festivals are observed or when specific events are announced in those states.
According to the state-proclaimed holidays, the aforementioned days will be observed in various regions; however, banks will be closed nationwide on the gazetted holidays.
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, banks will be closed for a total of 14 days between December 8 and January 1.For instance, bank locations in Shillong may be closed to Pa-Togan Nengminja Sangma, but not in Goa, Bihar, or other states.
