PM inaugurates Asia's Largest Bio-CNG Plant 'Gobar-Dhan'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated Asia's largest Bio-CNG plant 'Gobar-Dhan' in Indore. Speaking at the inaugural function on Saturday, the Prime Minister said, "within next two years, the construction of such cow dung-rich Bio-CNG plants will be completed in 75 major municipalities of the country. This campaign will make the cities of India clean, pollution free. The use of clean energy will increase. ” Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri were present on the occasion. It is to be noted that under Swach Bharat Mission 2.0, the Center aims to make the cities of the country garbage free. His mission can also become a reality through the Gobar-Dhan project.

The Indore manure plant has the capacity to treat 550 tons of segregated organic waste per day. The plant will produce about 17,000 kg of CNG and 100 tons of organic compost per day. According to the Prime Minister's Office, the plant will also provide multiple environmental benefits such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, providing green energy with organic compost as fertilizer. The plant has been set up in a joint venture between Indore Clean Energy Pvt Ltd, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) and Indo Enviro Integrated Solutions Limited (IEISL). The Indore Municipal Corporation will buy at least 50 per cent of the CNG produced by the Gobar-Dhan plant. This is the first such initiative in the country. The municipal corporation will run 400 city buses using this CNG.

On the same day, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated 100 'Kisan drones'. These drones will be used mainly for application of pesticides and various other materials on agricultural land. Modi said that India will lead the world in the drone sector in the coming days. That is the goal of the new step center. He further said that a new culture has been gradually created in the country of drone start-ups. The number of drones has already exceeded 200. Soon it will exceed a thousand. This will create huge employment opportunities in this field in the coming days. The Prime Minister said India wants to build one lakh drones on domestic technology in the next two years. He also mentioned about 'Swatitva Yojana'. The Prime Minister said the aim was to collect land ownership information among the village farmers and use driverless vehicles for transporting medicines, vaccines and goods. It is to be noted that in this year's central budget, the center has emphasized on modernization of agriculture.
