Kolkata : Vikram Solar Limited, one of India’s leading solar module manufacturers, has partnered with Ahiritola Sarbojonin Sarodotsav 2026, organised by Ahiritola Jubak Brinda, as its Title Sponsor. Under the campaign “Ebar Pujo Robir Aloy” (This Puja, in the Light of the Sun), the company has introduced a unique initiative that brings together Rabindranath Tagore’s literary legacy and the potential of clean solar energy.

The centrepiece of the initiative is a solar-powered art installation inside the Durga Puja pandal. Using Vikram Solar panels, the installation illuminates a display of Rabindranath Tagore’s handwritten poem, keeping the manuscript lit throughout the day and night during the festival. Drawing inspiration from Tagore’s original manuscript, the pandal theme connects Bengal’s beloved poet and its most cherished festival with the promise of renewable energy.

The pandal was inaugurated on the evening of October 15, 2026, in the presence of senior government representatives, including West Bengal Industry Minister Tapas Roy and Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Purnima Chakraborty. Members of Vikram Solar’s leadership team and other prominent personalities also attended the inauguration.

The partnership is part of Vikram Solar’s ongoing efforts to promote clean energy through community-oriented campaigns. The company has previously undertaken a solar energy initiative during Ganeshotsav in Pune and launched the “Sixes for Solar” campaign during the Indian Premier League (IPL). Through such initiatives, Vikram Solar aims to bring conversations about India’s energy transition into public spaces where people come together to celebrate and connect.

Speaking about the initiative, Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikram Solar, said that Durga Puja represents Bengal’s rich expressions of art, faith and community. For a company founded in Bengal, he said, the festival offers a meaningful platform to celebrate the power of the sun.

Chaudhary noted that Tagore’s words have illuminated generations and that, this year, his literary legacy would shine through clean solar energy. Through “Ebar Pujo Robir Aloy”, the company hopes to demonstrate that solar power is not a distant concept but a practical solution capable of illuminating homes, traditions and the future.

From Ganeshotsav to cricket and now Kolkata’s Durga Puja pandals, Vikram Solar intends to continue bringing the message of clean energy to the heart of communities across India.
