Mumbai : The landmark Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) attracted overwhelming investor demand, receiving bids worth more than Rs 90,200 crore against the issue size of Rs 22,562 crore.

The IPO was subscribed 5.71 times on the final day of bidding, according to data available on the stock exchanges. The issue received around 38.5 lakh applications, with investors bidding for 50,58,11,384 equity shares against the 8,86,42,911 shares offered in the issue.

Among the different investor categories, the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) showed the strongest demand, with their portion subscribed 12.68 times. The Non-Institutional Investors (NII) category was subscribed 6.55 times, while the retail investor portion received subscriptions of 1.39 times.

The employee portion was subscribed 2.40 times. The strong response across institutional and non-institutional categories makes the NSE IPO one of the closely watched public issues in the Indian capital market.
