LIC creates record by selling nearly 6 lakh policies in 24 hours

New Delhi: State-owned life insurance company Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has created history. On January 20, 2025, the company sold 5,88,107 life insurance policies in just 24 hours and entered the Guinness World Records. 4,52,839 agents of LIC, who worked together across India to create this record, participated in achieving this remarkable achievement.

The biggest role behind this record is played by LIC MD and CEO Siddharth Mohanty. He took a special initiative called 'Mad Million Day' on January 20. He urged each agent to sell at least one policy on that day, which resulted in this unprecedented success.

A statement from the company said that this success is a reflection of the unwavering hard work, skill and commitment of LIC agents. It is also a testament to the company's commitment to providing financial security to its customers and ensuring the future of their families. The company hopes that this record will further strengthen LIC's brand image and customer trust. In addition, this achievement is also being seen as a new milestone in the Indian insurance industry. To celebrate this historic moment, LIC has posted a post on its official Instagram page, displaying the recognition received from Guinness World Records.
