Direct money to ration customers' accounts! Dealers prepare for movement

New Delhi: The central government is moving towards transferring cash directly to bank accounts instead of rice and wheat in ration in Delhi. After taking the system of giving cash instead of wheat in ration in the union territories of the country, keeping Delhi in mind, the central government's goal is to gradually introduce it in other parts of the country. It was already known that the center wants to give cash instead of rice and wheat in ration. As a pilot project, that system has also been introduced in some parts of the union territories of Chandigarh, Puducherry and Lakshadweep. A detailed discussion has already been held at the official level to give ration in cash in Delhi in January this year. According to sources, special training will also be given to the officials for this work very soon.

The ration dealers of the country have been apprehensive for a long time that the government wants to walk the system of giving cash by ending the system of giving rice and wheat in ration. And then, anticipating the problems that the ration dealers of the country will face, they have also started preparing to launch a movement. The All India Fair Price Shop Dealers Federation, an all-India organization of ration dealers, will launch a movement across the country demanding the introduction of the Bengali model and the Tamil Nadu model of the ration system, the general secretary of the organization, Bishwambar Basu, announced in Delhi on Saturday. Basu said that they will start a movement from April demanding the Bengali model, i.e. ration for all, and the Tamil Nadu model, i.e. recognition of ration dealers as government employees.

It is worth noting that the All India Organization of Ration Dealers has been courting the central government for a long time to increase the commission of ration dealers, but the center has not listened to their words. The allocation for ration dealers has not been increased in this year's budget either. Mr. Bishwambhar met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday in a large group to discuss their demands. Although they presented their demands to Nirmala, they did not get a promising response, as evidenced by Basu's announcement of the movement program.
