Indian visa application without depositing passport |
New Delhi : Own Correspondent, Dhaka: Citizens of Bangladesh can apply for Indian visa without submitting passport. This information has been informed by the Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC), Bangladesh. Notice regarding this liberalization of visa policy has been published on IVAC, Bangladesh website and Facebook page. According to IVAC, it is now possible to apply for an Indian visa without depositing a passport. Applicants can take back their passports if they want while applying for an Indian visa from Tuesday.
In this regard, the Indian High Commission said that applicants who want to get their passports back for other purposes while their visa applications are being processed by the High Commission, will now have the facility to get their passports back at IVAC (Indian Visa Application Centre). They must re-submit their passport to IVAC seven days prior to the probable delivery date shown on the visa token.
Applicants will now also have the option to pre-select a specific time slot to submit their visa application to IVAC while paying the visa processing fee online. This will relieve the applicant from long wait at IVAC while submitting the application.
