This time, there has been some attempt to turn the wheels of the economy by focusing on him. Besides, the Center has allocated over Rs 79,000 crore to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to meet the target ahead of the 24th Lok Sabha elections.
On this day, Sitharaman said, there are many potential tourist spots in this country, which are hidden due to lack of maintenance. If all those centers are identified and their infrastructure developed and beautified, it will be possible to increase the income from the tourism industry. To fulfill that goal, emphasis will be placed on the development of infrastructure and communication system of 50 such tourist centers. In all those places, from accommodation to transportation, initiatives will be taken to improve all aspects. The target is to attract foreign tourists.
The new project was also announced for foreign tourists as well as the middle class of the country to travel around the country at a low cost. Besides, a 'Winnity Mall' will be created to sell handicrafts of the local area.
For the overall development of tourism, emphasis will be placed on the communication system of the country. He said that modernization of 50 airports in the country should be ensured. All in all, tourism has been arranged in the central budget with the aim of significantly increasing the income from the tourism industry.
Meanwhile, the budget allocation for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has been increased by 66 percent compared to earlier. As a result, the budget in this project has increased to more than 79,000 crore rupees. The Finance Minister said that the expenditure of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being increased by 66 percent. Earlier, the officials associated with the project said that about 40 thousand crore rupees may be allocated in this sector in the budget. But the center has allocated almost twice that amount. It will be handed over to the beneficiaries before the polls. And the center jumped with that goal.
