How to link your PAN card and Aadhaar card in 2023

In accordance with the new regulations, the Indian government has mandated that all citizens link their Aadhaar and PAN cards.

Aadhaar-PAN Linking

When it comes to your financial transactions and identity verification, your Aadhaar card and PAN card are the two most crucial documents. The Income Tax Department can use these two documents to keep track of your financial transactions. As a result, linking your Aadhaar card to your PAN card is critical for everyone. The government will be able to monitor your financial transactions and keep your PAN card active if you link these two documents together.

In accordance with the new regulations, the Indian government has mandated that all citizens link their Aadhaar and PAN cards. The 31st of March in 2020 was the last day to do so. However, your Aadhaar and PAN card must now be linked by March 31, 2023, as the deadline has been extended recently.

It is much simpler to file income tax returns, open a bank account, buy and sell financial assets, and register a stock trading account when your Aadhar and PAN are linked.

You can link your PAN card to your Aadhaar card in a number of different ways. Among the steps are the ones listed below:

1. Online method 2. SMS mode Method 3. Offline Method

Online Method

The steps for linking your Aadhaar card to your PAN card online are outlined below.

● Step 1: Explore the official e-filing portal for income taxes.

● Step 2: On the homepage, click the "Quick Links" button. Select the "Link Aadhaar" sub-option by clicking the same link.

● Step 3: The validation of your payment information will then be displayed in a pop-up window. Select "Continue" from the menu to move on.

● Step 4: On the subsequent page, you must enter your PAN and Aadhaar number following the redirect. By selecting the "Validate" option, complete this step.

● Step 5: You will then see two boxes with questions beneath it: If only your date of birth is included in your Aadhaar number, the other will ask for your permission to validate it. If the first option is correct, select it; otherwise, select the second option.

● Step 6: Enter the OTP that you will receive on your mobile device on the subsequent screen.

● Step 7: Select the "Validate" option to move on.
