This year budget paperless, can be found in the mobile app

New Delhi

On February 1, at 11 am, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the general budget for the financial year 2022-23 in the Lok Sabha. This time the budget is going to be completely 'paperless'. Through the 'Union Budget Mobile App', everyone from MPs to the general public will be able to view budget documents.

However, the information will be available in the app only after the budget is presented in the parliament. Meanwhile, due to the Corona situation in the country, various measures have been taken in this year's budget session.

The Rajya Sabha will convene from 10 am to 3 pm and the Lok Sabha from 4 pm to 9 pm. All party meetings are going to be held before the session through virtual. An all-party meeting convened by the government will be held from 3 pm next Monday after the President's address to the joint session.

Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Benkaiya Naidura has called for the Rajya Sabha to be held on the same day from 5 pm onwards.

No 'halwa' ceremony this year, says government. 'Halwa' ceremoney was traditionally held 10 days ahed of the presentation of budget every year.
